Ten good and bad things about my life (So far) by Ann M. Martin

 "Ten Good and Bad Things about my life so far" by Ann M. Martin as one of the greatest books I've ever read. It becomes a past tense of the main character Pearl Littlefield's summer vacation when she enters 5th grade and her new teacher Ms. Brody has them write an outline and an essay on their summers. Pearl was excited to take a trip to the Wild West for her summer vacation but quickly becomes disappointed when her father comes home from work and announces he has been fired and their Vacation turns into a Staycation. Along the way for new best friend James Brubaker the third (JBIII) get into a fight into a fight that ends with JBIII in the hospital (On accident) and her older sister Lexie gets a job. Pearl learns to live with her fathers being fired and finds out that her summer is a lot different than she thought it would be. I Diffidently recommend this book as a must-read! In this volume of "Poke'mon Adventures; Ruby & Sapphire (Vol.17), Ruby battles another 1 of Team Magma's 3 admins who calls myself "Blaze, the illusionist", in a submarine meant for deep under-sea exploration, Team Aqua tries to lure Sapphire in Mt. Chimney, and what has happened to the Lava-ridge Town gym leader!? Plus Team Aqua tricks a  Professor named "Cosmo" into believing that they are working on a harmless experiment at the peek of Mt. Chimney, a dormant volcano, and need the meteorite  almost like a power source. Meanwhile, Ruby meets an slightly estranged diver, finds out a Feebas is still following him, and Ruby's father finds out about his whereabouts and challenges him to a battle! Are Team Aqua going to accomplish their goal of finding Kyogre and Team Magma finding Groudon? Find out in this volume of "Poke'mon Adventures; Ruby and Sapphire (Vol.17)!

"Ten Rules for Living with my Sister" by Ann M. Martin

In this book, younger sister 9 year old Pearl tends to fall into the back round when it comes to being compared to her older 13 year old sister Lexi, the popular one with all the friends. They can never get along and Pearl writes a chart of all the things that Lexi does or has that she doesn't, such as a key to their New York apartment and a boyfriend to hangout with. Their parents call both of them into the family room to tell them their Grandfather is moving in with them temporarily and they're both excited!...until they find out they have to share a room. Lexi is one for personal space and Pearl is one for barging into it. Not long after their Grandfather arrives both Pearl and Lexi start to notice something off about him; He can't remember what he has and hasn't said and what he's been doing after he's done. Read the book to find out what happens next! I recommend this to any girl who has an older sister and even one with a younger sister! It's a story about dealing with your siblings, growing up, and the "10 rules for living with your sister".
NOTE; I DO NOT recommend this books for boys due to feminine topics and related crude humor.

Review on "Saranormal; Ghost Town (Book 1) by Phoebe Rivers (Both) (Juv. Fic. Chapter Book series)

Saranormal; Ghost Town (Book 1) by Phoebe Rivers

 "Saranormal" is a book series about a 12 year old girl named Sara who has a special ability; she sees ghosts. She's been able to see them ever since she was young. The first experience she had was on the playground at her school, and after that it was years of hearing her nickname was "ghost girl". One day not too long after her birthday, her father tells her his work has transferred him to New Jersey and she finds out their new town has secrets to be revealed. When they get to the house, she finds out they're going to being renting the upper level from an elderly woman who calls herself Lady Azura, a Psychic. Sara isn't really enjoying the new house...not just because it feels almost nothing like her old home, but because it's ridden with ghosts. An elderly woman on a bench outside, a man pacing in the upper level, a sailor looking out one of the rooms windows, and a woman crying in a small room in the hall. She doesn't understand why exactly her father chose out of all places this town and this house, but she finds out later why.  I would diffidently recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal and mystery genre filled with great friends and stories!

Poke'mon Adventures; Ruby & Sapphire Vol.16 by Hidenori Kusaka & Satoshi Yamamoto

In Vol.16 of "Poke'mon Adventures; Ruby and Sapphire", The female main character, Sapphire, it targeted by Team Aqua, and both Ruby and Sapphire are having to deal with a new group called "Team Magma" with the help of their new friends, Plusle and Minun. Ruby and Sapphire stop at in abandoned ship in the middle of the ocean after riding Wailord for sometime. Ruby soon stumbles upon a journal and some kind of machine that could potentially lead the two groups "Team Magma" and "Team Aqua" to what they are looking for; Groudon and Kyogre. Ruby soon has to battle one of Team Magma's 3 admins, Courtney. He soon defeats Courtney's Poke'mon and believes he still has the mystery machine. I would recommend this book along with the whole Hoenn region series (Volumes 15-22) for anyone who loves Poke'mon and graphic novels that are fun with characters that actually convey real emotion in weird or slightly crazy situations.
NOTE: Recommend for ages 8 and up due to mild cartoon violence and comic mischief.

Poke'mon Adventures; Ruby & Sapphire Vol.15 by Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto

    This series of "Poke'mon Adventures" (Vol.15-22) is personally my favorite for the region it takes place in and the story line. It starts when a young Ruby moves to the Hoenn region from the Johto region for his dad Norman, the gym leader of Petalburg City. His father wants him to pursue being a gym leader and a powerful one rather than participate in contests wear they show off their Poke'mon's beauty and grace. Ruby soon decides to run away from home to find out he's almost attacked by a wild Poke'mon, but is then rescued by a slightly estranged jungle girl named Sapphire. They get into an argument and eventually make a bet that whoever can when all 8 gym badges or all 20 contest ribbons within 80 days gets the bragging rights to say whether being a Poke'mon trainer or a Poke'mon coordinator is better. Not long after Sapphire leaves to go on her own journey, she finds the creator and boss of the Devon Corporation has gotten one of his Poke'mon, Castform, stuck in the water fountain pump somehow but later finds out it was purposely sucked in by a strange new group of thieves called "Team Aqua". They soon escape and the president asks Sapphire to deliver a letter to his son, Steven. Want to know what happens next? Find this book at a Library or Major Bookstore near you!
NOTE; (Based off of video game) Some sequences of mild violence and comic mischief. Recommended ages 8 and up.

Review on "The Friendship Matchmaker" by Randa Abdel-Fattah (Both genders Juv. Fic. Chapter Book)

"The Friendship Matchmaker" by Randa Abdel-Fattah

 "The Friendship Matchmaker" is about a girl named Lara Zany who has a slightly different approach to friendships and going to school itself. She believe school is like a "battlefield" and you have to fight your way through. Everyone at school knows her for holding seminars at recess to help repair and create friendships, and often confide in her. One day a new girl shows up at school and Lara decides to give her fashion and friendship advice, but it doesn't work out well...she believes friends can just be friends without strings attached or having to be a certain way around them. They soon find themselves competing to see who can make 1 person a new "best friend forever" first. This is when Lara turns to her "Total Loner List". She separates many kids at her school into lists that tell her who could, might, and just can't make friends. She decides to choose a girl off her list that has hair that often looks like it's went un-brushed for awhile and shows up to school in over-sized animal sweaters. Lara begins to like being around until she reminds herself the "Friendship Matchmaker" can't have friends. She often reminds herself and one day faces what made her write her book on the dos and don'ts of friendships and even try to educate others on a growing problem; Friendship breakups, and the perks and querks of a trio.

Review for "Serendipity & Me" by Judith L. Roth (Both genders)

"Serendipity & Me" by Judith L. Roth  (Haiku's)

 "Serendipity & Me" by Judith L. Roth is about a young girl named Sara and her father who are after a while of grieving start to recover from her mother's passing, when suddenly a small kitten shows up at their front door. Sara begs to keep it but her father says they just can't. After a little awhile of trying to see if the kitten has an owner and then trying to find it a home, Sara one day finds a picture in her father's closet that reveals to her why her dad never had any intention on ever thinking about keeping the kitten or even showing very much affection towards it. Eventually the kitten goes Sara stops at almost nothing to find it until she realizes how worried her family is. Want to know if she ever sees the kitten again? Reserve this book near you or try to find it at your local book store! NOTE; Book written in Haiku's (A form of Poetry)

Review on "Oopsy Daisy; A Flower Power book" by Lauren Myracle (Girls)

"Oopsy Daisy; A Flower Power book" by Lauren Myracle

  "Oopsy Daisy; A Flower Power book" by Lauren Myracle is also a good. Unlike the others, the main focus out of all 4 main characters is Katie-rose. Katie-Rose is the most energetic and feisty of the bunch, and learns a lot about growing up and friendships throughout this fun book! I recommend this for any girl who loves fun and energetic books about growing up, friendships, and the types of books that actually sound realistic. Not a book that some accountant like adult decided to publish. Lauren Myracle is the best author I know when it comes to books that sound realistic (Meaning they sound like actual people, but yes, they are fiction.) books that express how kids talk and live and what things they like to do I would diffidently recommend this to any girl who wants a fun-loving story about, well, Flower Power. NOTE; Recommended for girls only due to female character base. NOTE 2; For girls over the age of 10 due to feminine topics and crude humor.

"Awesome Blossom; A Flower Power book" by Lauren Myracle

 Lauren Myracle sounds like an actual kid when she writes. "Awesome Blossom" is about 4 friends who band together to try to get the new girl to steer away from the mean girl of school, Modessa so she doesn't become under the influence that the way Modessa thinks school is and how you should treat others is the way she should think. They chat and blog together on their very own private blog, and get into some pretty crazy situations. Especially Katie-Rose, one of the main characters. One of the other main characters, Camilla, is going through a hard time too. She was once "under the influence" of Modessa and now has to try to get the new girl to believe her when she tells her what Modessa is really like without actually getting caught by her ex-"best friend". This book is heart-warming and great for any girl who wants to read an awesome story about the power of friendship. NOTE; For girls due to main character base. NOTE 2; Lauren Myracle is known as "the modern Judy Blume". Some parts may talk about girls issues and feminine concepts.

Ask My Mood Ring How I Feel by Diana Lopez  Juv. Fic. (For Girls only)

 "Ask My Mood Ring How I Feel" by Diana Lopez is by far one the most inspiring books I've ever read. It's about a girl and her little sister who suddenly find out their mom has Breast Cancer so they try to put just about everything aside to help her. One of the main characters, 13 year old Erica Montenegro (Chia is her nickname), is planning to go on a walk for Cancer Awareness and tries to find supporters. She finds out getting as many names as she has planned may be a little harder than she imagined...but with with the help of some friends and family, They really can do things better together. This book has whimsy, drama, and plenty of fun characters for just about any reader to enjoy! By the time you finish this book you may even want to help support Breast Cancer awareness. I Diffidently recommend this book to anyone who's going through a tough time knowing someone with the disease or having it themselves,  or just wants to try something different. NOTE; I DO NOT recommend this book for boys due to medical references and some crude humor.

But this blog is about books and reviews. Their may be a movie mentioned once in awhile, but yeah, mostly everything books. I blog about mostly Juv. Fic (Juvenile Fiction) and hope everyone who uses the comment section and does other interactions on the blog keeps those areas as well as others clean. Breaking the following rules will ban you from interacting on this blog.;
